About the festival

Welcome to St Ives Food and Drink Festival 2011. This year we will be building on our successes from last year with the event being bigger and better with more events, more things to do and see.
The Food Producers Market is moving down to West Pier making this the hub of the 2011 festival. Again this year promises to be a celebration of the very finest food and drink that St Ives and Cornwall has to offer.

We have some of the county's best food and drink producers taking part, but we also have a range of events taking place at some of the town's nationally renowned bars, restaurants and cafés.

Running from the 16th to the 22nd May and culminating in a food and drink producers’ market and cooking demonstrations on the town’s West Pier - the St Ives Food and Drink Festival gives you the opportunity to celebrate everything that is great about Cornish food and drink.

Taste, try, meet, buy, and enjoy the finest flavours and tastes that Cornwall has to offer, see some of the best chefs in the county giving cooking demonstrations and enjoy everything that St Ives has to offer, including some of the best food and drink destinations anywhere in the UK.

We are also delighted to have the support of three sponsors this year: Aspects Holidays - St Ives leading self-catering company, St Ives' Tregenna Castle Hotel and Chilean wine producer Isla Negra Wines.

Aspects Holidays, St Ives born and bred and now plays host to over 200 properties in and around the town – from brand new luxury penthouse apartments through to wonderful, traditional fisherman’s cottages down in the town’s Digey where life began almost 21 years ago.

Today, Aspects plays host to thousands of holidaymakers who choose to make this beautiful part of West Cornwall their holiday destination every year.

Tregenna Castle is a beautiful hotel rich in character and offers the rare opportunity to stay in a Cornish castle, as well as enjoying a range of leisure facilities. There is a choice of restaurants, bars, swimming pools – complete with Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room, a gym, a hair and beauty salon, as well as a range of sports and woodland walks. Catering for families, “Castle Kids” offers a range of day care activities and is approved by Ofsted as “outstanding”.

Isla Negra Wines are made from unique and innovative combinations, making every product an exceptional experience for everyday life. Diverse in their range, Isla Negra wines are appropriate for many occasions: an outdoor barbeque with friends, an aperitif with your partner, a Sunday lunch with your family or a formal business dinner to name a few. There is an Isla Negra for everyone, as this range knows no limits: make it an every day pleasure.
